In today's lesson I learned how important it is for teacher productivity for professional development tools is. There are many ways to stay up to date with all of this and that is mainly all through technology. I found a website that has blog sources that you can use in your career to share things and also a blog from head of technology for a school district. That can be very helpful in maintaining development. My classmates all had very good ideas and bookmarks. There was one website called linkedin that really helps you stay connected to others. It also can help you post about certain topics that will benefit other teachers. Another good website I discovered because of my classmates was TedTalks. They provide talks that can help you in your life and you future. It gives you good tips about how to enhance your life and career.

As a future educator, adaptive technology is something that is so important. This technology helps kids who are diverse learning keep up and continue to learn information just like very other student. Some technology includes kinds that help kids learn how to read by highlighting words as they hear it. Also different types of key boards that help students who are blind or have trouble typing. Another tool is talking spell-checkers. This helps kids learn how to spell by hearing the words out loud. Most kids do a much better job learning things such as spelling by hearing it! Day by day more technology comes out for students to enhance their leaning and as someone majoring in this profession you couldn't be happier with the effort made. Through my individual efforts, I learned there are many different forms of diverse students. Some students can have trouble hearing and others can have trouble seeing. Before this I thought there was only one or two forms of diversity. It was very interesting to discover the other ways. But with the way technology has enhanced there are very many ways to adapt and work around. With this assignment, I also learned about tools such as keyboards for blind that can help. As a future educator, it is important to be up to date on all types of diverse learners so this was important information to grasp. By creating the presentation with my group I learn not only how to summarize a small amount of information and place in a quick power point but also about the tools for reading for diverse learners. So far using twitter has been very beneficial for many reasons. To start off, it is a great way to summarize things that have happened in a small amount of words. It really helps you get to the point without dragging anything on. Also, it is an awesome source to help you become engaged and interact with your classmates.  This is important because being able to discuss and see other things your peers are tweeting about can help you. Lastly, having up to date news on educational matter is extremely nice to have. This was you can be always on top of what is going on in the educational word. Through my individual efforts today I learned in class about how important it is to be a productive teacher. Being a productive teacher means you more likely have productive students. I learned about a website that helps a teacher stay organized with time management. It shows when something is completed, needs to be done, or is in the works. Staying on top of your work and responsibilities as a teacher is something that is a priority for a successful classroom. Things that I  learned through my classmates are that certain tools that can help you with things such as attendance to keep track of when kids are here is something that is key off the start for teachers. Also, online websites such as edline, blackboard, and canvas can help you reach out to students and communicate what is going on in the classroom and what their grades are. All this was shown to me through different bookmarks and comments on post through diigo.

I learned throughout class the many benefits that diigo provides for learners and educators. For example, you can easily share links and post websites to share with your peers. This can save a lot of time for people for that they can focus more on the lesson and how to teacher rather than spend all their time looking for it. Also the highlighting and commenting tool helps provide a great way to point out important points made in book marks. Some passages can be extra length and a burden to look through therefore, being able to see what other people in your group have selected as important information is important for time management and getting the maximum amount of good information.

Web 2.0 in the classroom is now very important in the classroom. Web 2.0 allows students and people to share more easily. An example of this would be a blog. This is helpful in the classroom because it is easier for kids to stay on top of their work while being able to share their work with everyone else in the classroom. YouTube is super helpful because kids can learn by watching videos that people from all over put on the web. Another tool to use in the classroom is Twitter. Twitter allows students to summarize with a short restriction. Its easy and you can also follow people who will benefit you learning. The web is very dangerous. It is a concern for many teachers. However, as long as teachers stay on top of it and work on monitoring kids work, you should have very little to no problems. A Web 2.0 tool that I have used myself in the classroom is Edmodo. On of the most recent tools that I have been loving using in EME 2040 is Twitter! I have been using twitter my whole life but now I am using it in a totally different way. I know all the backbones and ways as to how to use just from using it everyday and adapting to the ways of twitter. It is a great source that lets you get out information. There is even a tool that students can turn on that will notify them every time a specific person tweets. It would be good for them to do that for their teacher in case they had any last minute announcements. I have been interacting with a lot of my classmates and also educational leaders in the this world. I hope to use this in my future to easily communicate with future students. However, depending on kids maturity, it could be a bad tool to use.
