On of the most recent tools that I have been loving using in EME 2040 is Twitter! I have been using twitter my whole life but now I am using it in a totally different way. I know all the backbones and ways as to how to use just from using it everyday and adapting to the ways of twitter. It is a great source that lets you get out information. There is even a tool that students can turn on that will notify them every time a specific person tweets. It would be good for them to do that for their teacher in case they had any last minute announcements. I have been interacting with a lot of my classmates and also educational leaders in the this world. I hope to use this in my future to easily communicate with future students. However, depending on kids maturity, it could be a bad tool to use. The students would have access to direct messaging and tweet freely anything they would like for you and your other students to see. Obviously you can hope this does not happen but sometimes teaching high school students you must prepare for things such as that.

Digital divide helps students become successful in the classroom due to having access to this awesome technology. A student can use their computer, phone, and tablets to help them gain information. Having internet access is also a huge key to success. You would be able to do your homework almost whenever. You also have an advantage by learning and mastering all these digital tools. Some causes of digital divide is wealth and where you live. Some people cannot afford to buy a computer or other tools. Also, not all neighborhoods have wifi however most do. That causes a divide in students just based off where they live. When I am a teacher, I have to make sure that I can make sure every student has an opportunity to have some form of technology. It is also important that if you know a student is super good with technology because they do not have access to it, it would be cool to work with them so they do not lag behind.

There is such much software programs out there it is almost impossible to use it all. That being said it is important you use the most beneficial ones! I'm hoping to teach high school history. That being said, software with graphics would not be hugely helpful. Software's such as 3D software and animation software are examples of  ones I would use the least. Although it is defiantly possible to find a way to make these software's work with a lesson, it was just be more helpful to use other kids. Other kinds such as encyclopedias to use as references. Also, academic databases so kids can learn and discover in a very easy way. Connect-Mapping software can also help my future history students so they can visualize certain concepts. I personally think educational game are a huge help for everyone to learn. Its a great fun way for kids to get competitive while learning about the lesson. There are so many software's but those are all the ones that caught my eye that I see not benefiting and benefiting me in the future.
